​Benefits of Membership

Becoming a member of the Richmond-Tweed Family History Society Inc. is an economical way to support your family history research. Membership gives you access to a number of paid online subscriptions and databases [saving you around $1000 annually], the opportunity to borrow books and journals from our library, the support of duty officers who attend during opening hours, attendance at informative monthly meetings, and our own quarterly journal The Cedar Log.

 

Members of Richmond-Tweed Family History Society also have reciprocal rights with some other family history societies. This means members can use their facilities for free by showing proof of membership.

Local Databases: school admission records, honour rolls, local cemetery records, Register of Pioneer Families 1842 – 1900, and some digitised local newspapers.

 

How to Join

You can use the online form, come to the Research room at 6 Regatta Avenueor to the monthly meeting at the Players Theatre to become a member.

You can join as a single or as a joint member – ‘joint’ refers to 2 adults or 1 adult and 1child, residing at the same address.

​

The membership period is from January to December. A Pro-Rata Payments system recognises reduced use by people who join later in the year, as per the table below.
